Description
This was a a few shots I captured at a model rocket launch in Wilsonville, Oregon with my Son; Torrin. I was very impressed with the swift shutter release time on my Nikon D7000 camera to catch most of the images I got that day. Between when I heard the rockets launch and catching this image before the rocket was out of the view finder was amazing. I did not imagine I would be able to capture these so well. If you have ever seen a model rocket launch you know how they zip up in the sky faster than you can see them fly off. After reviewing them on my computer I see I should have used a faster shutter speed. It seems 1/400 second was not fast enough to get a nice sharp image.

Well done! Looks like a Nomad but there are so many rockets out there now it's hard to say.
